Leaving from The Fantastic World
Before I went to New York comic festival, I thought that cosplay was a social activity for little kids and immature people as like as my childhood memory. However, Sometimes it’s scary or not appropriate for children. Professional cosplayers’ detail, serious clothing, accessories, make-up and their real acting made me felt respect on this culture.Some of cosplayers were creative, they created their costumes or character by themselves. I learned a lot through the conversation with cosplayers: They spent a lot of time and money on their costumes. I learned the cosplay rules and some Japanese words related to this culture. I also learned that the Gothic and Lolita cultures were separate from the cosplay culture.
